15 July 2008 "Kweli 4"
We got stuck in some bumper-to-bumper traffic on the way to the Mombasa airport. We were on a slight incline moving only a few feet at a time. In the lane next to us was a large dump truck full of coral building blocks. A couple of guys jumped out of the cab and one scrambled onto the mound of coral and started handing down some blocks to his colleagues. They wedged the blocks behind the tires. Every time we moved forward, the guys hustled to grab the coral blocks and wedge them behind the tires again before the truck slid back.
